Have you ever walked outside and lifted your head towards the sky to feel the sun warm your face? I do it all the time, and it gives me such a good feeling, like all of a sudden, I have a pep in my step.
Well, it’s not an illusion the sun provides so much to living things, including you and me. As you step outside and go for a run, walk your dog, or take a stroll on the beach feeling the warm sand through your toes, your body is releasing Vitamin D. The sun is the most prominent natural source of vitamin D, and it’s free.

Vitamin D benefits you and me by releasing serotonin, a mood-boosting hormone. It also aids in regulating the amount of calcium and phosphate in the body, helps keep teeth, bones, and muscles healthy. I don’t know about you, but I want to keep my teeth healthy as long as I can. I’m not trying to eat an apple using my gums. Oh could you imagine eating corn on the cob? Make sure to get outside and soak up some sun for at least 30 minutes or supplement with Vitamin D3.
